Such a coincidence…: November 22th evening was the followig program in Oléron movie-theater: (See below picture)

TerraFermaEldorado … i.e. : A public reading of texts of the book of Pascal CorrazzaVoyage en italique” dealing with his investigation about the Italian origins of his family, more precisely about his grandfather having emigrated from Venezia-Trieste area to Charente-Maritime in the 1920’s. .
He started only recently to investigate about this Italian origin of his family and so started to learn Italian lately, this led him to go and work in Italy , mainly Sicilia, to meet Mimmo Cuttichio, the Sicilian “puppi” (puppetry) master.
And for this reason, as it is the rule of this 22th evening event “A writer chooses a movie“, and also because his personal concern with “migrants”, “frontiers”,…, Pascal Corrazza choose as a movie, “Terraferma” of Emanuele Crialese in which the main character, the old fisherman Ernesto, is wonderfully played by Mimmo Cuttichio.

Pascal Corrazza introduced the “Terraferma” movie with a special short and recent interview movie of Mimmo Cuttichio, shot in front of his “puppi”, explaining how sharing the everyday life of the people of Linosa, the island between Lampedusa, Sicilia and Malta where the movie was shot, how playing this “fisherman” role, similar to the old fishermen whom the Comenius Italian students showed to us in their slide-show in Malta, changed his life and how this tiny island’s problem with depletion of fisheries, impact of tourism, African migrants and others, were nowadays of “universal concern“…
cuticchioPupppiDuring the after movie talk, Pascal Corrazza told a lot about “the art of the puppi” in Palermo and Catania (about which we knew nothing …before “Comenius” with what Licia and Pasquale told us about…) and that he was until recently working as “French language attaché culturel” in Sicilia, knowing, among other sicilian high-schools, a certain high-school named IPSIA Enrico Fermi… and was involved in some Sicilian schools European projects
