Drones (Axelle-Yanis)

Introduction :

At the beginning, robots were used in industry, but now we can found robots everywhere, like in music, medical use, spatial exploration, and domestic use. There are used to help or to replace humans for the hard or dangerous working.

We only used drones in our gardens, so we are not experts in this field. It was for a private use and during spare time.

Currently, there are lots of projects about delivery drones, that will deliver pizzas or amazon packages.

But it can be dangerous. For example : for people who walk in the street and collide a drone against their head. However, we think that it’s useful and great for the future, because the technologies are developed to improve daily life.

Drones were invented after the first World War. It was a prototype that could fly without pilot.

Amazon Prime Air :

Amazon Prime Air is a means of delivery set up by Amazon around 2015. At the beginning the drones were built to rapidly deliver Amazon package The concept is, the drone takes one package and puts it in the garden of the customer. The drone leaves as soon as the shopper confirms his order.

The drone has nine propellers with one horizontal to take care of the package. It’s less  than twenty-five kilograms, and it can fly up to one hundred and twenty meters high.

Amazon promises to deliver a parcel within twenty minutes. But the drone can fly with packages that weigh less than two point two kilograms.

The drone is smart, it flies to the home of the customer without a pilot, it can avoid obstacles

.

What can drones bring to humans ? What do we think about them?

Drones are a major improvement during our century. It’s important to understand that now, a robot can fly, without the help of a human pilot. So that involves rules and regulations. It can become a problem for the aviation sector. Some people use drones to spy their neighbours, which is forbidden. They are positive sides too, like the opportunity  to take amazing pictures from the sky. Like we said before, it’s a good thing for a firm that wants to develop delivery services.
