Montguyon Middle School

The school is located in Montguyon, a very very small town to the north of Bordeaux (45 minutes).

In the school there are 250 pupils and more than 40 adults : teachers, supervisors (surveillants), cleaning agents, janitors, etc.

There are 10 classes (4 forms : from 6ème to 3ème) of pupils aged from 11 to 15.

The building is not that big but there is a library (the CDI with Mrs Bourguet who is also the webmaster of this blog) with many books, documentaries, newspapers, posters and computers. It is cool because we can read and work there. The playground is big : there are many trees, benches, table tennis tables, etc. We can also go the common room (Foyer) at the break to play boardgames and foosball table. We put our bags in lockers and supervisors look after us during the break. There is also a study room to do our homework and many classrooms for each subject. Everyday (except on Wednesday), we have lunch at the school cafeteria.

The 3 classes who are doing the exchange are composed of 21 students each, and our English teachers are Mrs Charrier and Plumat.

We study Maths, Spanish or German, Technology, French, Science, PE, English, Latin, Music, Chemistry, Art, History and Geography. Our school principal is Mr Soubirou. We work on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:30 am to 5 pm. On Fridays, we finish at 3 pm. And on Wednesdays, we only work from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm.
