1. Herbie can read and he is a matematical genious.

2 . Herbies lies to everyone because he was created not do hurt human.

3. The robot just wants to answer what they want to hear.

4. Susan Calvin destroyed Herbie because he’s a liar. She accused him of lying.

Alfred Lanning, Peter Bogert, Milton Ashe are mathematicians who have creted a robot called Herbie. This robot can read, he’s a methematical genius and he can’t hurt anybody. All the doctors think that Herbie has a problem. Everybody interrogated the robot to discover the problem.The problem of the robot is that he lies all the time, and to everybody. Susan Calvin makes him crazy bacause she asks him a problem which he is not able to aswer . Consequently, she destroys his brain.

The saga Star Wars, by Georges Lucas, was composed of three films between 1977 and 1983. But between 1999 and 2005, three other films were made. They are science fiction films and they are a lot of robots.

For example, there is C-3PO, a humanoid robot, his specialty is to translate every languages. He was created by Anakin Skywalker, a Jedi, when he was child.

R2-D2 is a little robot, but he is not humanoid. He assits the pilots and repairs flying ships. In the first episode, he belonged to Padme Amidala, the princess. In episodes 2 and 3, he belonged to Anakin Skywalker. And In episodes 4, 5 and 6, he belonged to the son of Anakin : Luke Skywalker.

The scene takes place in office building, in New-York or an American city in the future. There are two policemen, they are angry. There are speaking about a robot named Sonny. He might have comited Dr Lanning’s crime or he’s guilty of something. Spooner, a detective, thinks Dr Laning taught Sonny human emotions and he became mean. So he killed the doctor. Spooner says robots are not human.

In the scene of interrogation one the one hand we think the robot might not have killed Dr Lanning because the robot says he doesn’t know why the doctor wanted to die. On the other hand we think the robot might have helped the doctor because he says “Did I do something? ” so maybe the robot has killed the doctor because the doctor wanted to  die.

In this scene the author suggests the robot can be a killer, Sonny killded Dr Lanning. We agree this theory because we can lose control of the robot, and it may actions that we do not want for example kill people. As Spooner we think the robot should not be considered as human.
