St Patrick’s day

St Patrick’s day is a Christian Irish holiday. It’s celebrated every 17 of March, to honor Saint Patrick who is patron saint of Ireland.
The shamrock is an emblem of Ireland. It represents the trinity.

Contrary to everybody think, St Patrick isn’t the national holiday ! Ireland hasn’t got any national day; St Patrick is only a religious day. It’s similar to St David in Wales or St Andrew in Scotland.

St Patrick is celebrated everywhere in the world ! And the color associated with this day is green, for example, in Chicago on St Patrick’s day, the Chicago river is coloured in green.

So, many people eat and drink Irish food, attend the parades in the street and, naturally, wear green clothes !!!
