Montguyon Middle School

(présentation rédigée par les élèves de la classe de 5A)

The school is located in Montguyon, a very small town to the north of Bordeaux (45 minutes).

In the school there are 250 pupils and more than 40 adults : teachers, supervisors (surveillants), cleaning agents, a janitor, a secretary, etc.

There are 11 classes (4 forms : from 6ème to 3ème) of pupils aged from 11 to 15

Our class who is doing the exchange this year is composed of 20 students and our English teacher is Miss Charrier.

The building is not that big. There are about 10 classrooms.

There is a library (the CDI) with many books, documentaries, newspapers, posters and computers. It is cool because we can read and work there.

The playground is big : there are many trees, benches, table tennis tables, etc. We can also go the common room (Foyer) at the break to play boardgames and foosball table. We put our bags in lockers and supervisors look after us during the break. There is also a study room to do our homework.

Everyday (except on Wednesday), we have lunch at the school cafeteria.

We go to school on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 8:30 am to 5 pm. On Wednesdays, we only work from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm. We study Maths, Spanish or German, Technology, French, Science, PE, English, Latin, Music, Chemistry, Art, History and Geography.
