Gram/SUPERLATIF
1) Le superlatif ?!! C’est quoi ? 
Le superlatif est une manière de montrer que quelque chose/quelqu’un est unique en son genre = “le plus (quelque chose)
Exemples:
L’Amazone est la plus longue rivière du monde
Jupiter est la plus grosse planète du système solaire
Julien est le plus grand du collège
Le Mont Everest est la plus haute montagne du monde
2) Comment on l’utilise ? 
a) Il faut d’abord séparer les adjectifs en 2 groupes différents : Les adjectifs COURTS et les adjectifs LONGS
Lisez bien ce qui va suivre :
1 syllabe => c’est un adjectif court : tall, big, small, fat …
2 syllabes => ça dépend !
Si l’adjectif se termine par un -Y, il est court: funny, pretty, friendly, happy …
les autres sont longs : famous, boring …
3 syllabes ou plus => il est long : expensive, fabulous, interesting …
b) Maintenant on va pouvoir apprendre à utiliser le superlatif en anglais :
Avec un adjectif court =>
il suffit de mettre ‘the‘, l’adjectif avec -EST à la fin . ( the + adjectif + -est )
ex: The Amazone is the longest river in the world .
Avec un adjectif long =>
Il faut mettre ‘the‘ , ‘most‘ et l’adjectif . ( the + most + adjectif )
ex: New York is the most famous city in the USA .
3)EXCEPTIONS ! 
a) Si l’adjectif se termine déjà par un « e », on ne rajoute pas un 2ème « e » !
Exemple avec nice (beau) :
Peter is the nicest boy in my class .
b) Quand l’adjectif a une syllabe et qu’il se termine par consonne-voyelle-consonne,
on double la consonne finale.
Exemple avec big (grand,gros) :
Sarah is the biggest girl in the school.
c) Quand l’adjectif se termine par un Y, le Y se transforme en I .
Exemple avec funny (drôle) :
I am the funniest in my class.
d) Quatre superlatifs irréguliers, qu’il faut apprendre par coeur ( Il n’y a pas de règle.)
good (bien) > (the) BEST (meilleur)
bad (mauvais) > (the) WORST (pire)
far (loin) > (the) FURTHEST/ FARTHEST (Am.) (pire)
less (moins) > (the) LEAST (le moins)

Complétez avec la bonne forme de superlatif. Attention aux modifications d'écriture du mot et aux exceptions!
“We, New Yorkers love to use superlatives. We think our city is (big), (trendy), (exciting) place in the world. It is (populous) city in the US and it has (busy) harbour. We also have (large) subway system in the world, which may also be (noisy) ! The world’s (long) street is named Broadway. The world’s (large) department store is also located in New York; it stands at the intersection of Broadway, 6th avenue and 34th street. It’s called Macy’s, and you’ll be able to find anything you want. If you are interested in museums, you can go to the Metropolitan Museum of Art which is located a little bit further, at the intersection of Fifth Avenue and 82nd Street. It is said to be one of (interesting) museums in the world! If you go to New York, you will understand why its nickname is “the city that never sleeps”: indeed, there is always something going on, a concert to go to, a new restaurant to discover, new people to meet! f/ This test was test we've ever had (difficult).
