A new encounter by Lola
On went the mouse through the same deep dark
wood. An Eagle saw the mouse and the mouse looked good.
“Where are you going to, little Brown mouse?
Come and have a snack in my goldcrest nest.”
“It’s terribly kind of you , Eagle, but no-
I’m going to have a snack with a Gruffalo.”
“A Gruffalo ? What’s a Gruffalo ?”
“A Gruffalo ! Why , didn’t you know ?
His ears are strangely pointed , his eyebrows are huge
He has two curled horns which make him completely deformed.”
“Where are you meeting him ?”
“right HERE , by THESE rocks of beetles
and his favorite food is seasoned eagle”
“Seasoned Eagle! Time for me to fly!”
“Bye Bye little mouse !” Eagle CRIED.
“Silly old Eagle! Doesn’t he know
there’s no such thing as a Gruffalo?”
