MY GAP YEAR

Loreana would like to go TO Fiji.
If she took a gap year in Fiji, she would volunteer in a marine preservation centre and discover new landscapes.
She would love to see beautiful, exotic beaches and swim with the fish because she likes marine animals and she is interested in saving them.

Raphaël plans to go to Canada, and he also wants to go to Switzerland.
He is interested in skiing and he is fond of hiking.
He is more interested in a French-speaking country.
If he took a year out in Canada, Raphaël would eat authentic maple syrup, and in Switzerland, he would eat tasty chocolate!

Pierre intends to go TO Tanzania.
He wants to go hiking in Mount Kilimanjaro and he is interested in wildlife preservation.
He also wants to sail across Lake Vitoria.
If he took a gap year in Tanzania, Pierre would get involved in many different activities, such as sports or volunteering.
Pierre is interested in discovering new landscapes because he cares about the flora and fauna.
Pierre would also like to go TO India because he dreams of working in a tiger sanctuary.

  • Se projeter dans un projet concret :
    • Je veux/ je prévois/ j’ai l’intention de (faire) = I want to / I plan to/ I intend to
    • Ce qui m’intéresse ou compte pour moi / ce que j’aime (faire) / ce que je rêve de (faire) = I’m interested in/ I care about/ I like; enjoy; ‘m into; ‘m fond of/ I dream of + verbes en -ing.
  • Se projeter dans un projet plus hypothétique :
    • J’aimerais (faire) = I would like to + une base verbale
    • Si je (faisais/imparfait) … je (ferais/conditionnel) …. = If I (+ verbe au prétérit) …. I would (+base verbale)
