💡 Préposition ou adverbe ?

❓Pose-toi la question : “y a-t-il un complément juste après ?”

✅ Oui → c’est une préposition ❌ ; Non → c’est un adverbe

🔹 La préposition

🔹 L’adverbe

-Elle introduit un complément (souvent un nom ou un pronom).
-Elle relie des mots (souvent un verbe à son complément).
-Elle forme un groupe prépositionnel.

👉 Elle est toujours suivie d’un mot (nom, groupe nominal ou pronom).

Exemples :
He is in the house. → “in” + the house (nom) → préposition
She walked to the park. → “to” + the park → préposition

-Il modifie un verbe, un adjectif ou un autre adverbe.
-Il est isolé, il n’introduit pas de complément.
-Il peut parfois se placer en fin de phrase.

👉 Il n’est pas suivi d’un nom ou pronom.

Exemples :
She went out. → Pas de complément après “out” → adverbe
He looked up. → Pas de complément → adverbe
Mais :
He looked up the word. → “up” + the word → ici, “up” est une préposition (phrasal verb)
