  2. a- We can see two characters from Greek mythology: Echo and Narcissus
    b- They are on the riverbank/ by the river.
    c- Narcissus is well-known (in Greek Mythology) for being in love with himself, contemplating his own reflection in the river, and being unable to love anyone but himself!
  3. The incongruous object in this scene is a smartphone in the river.

    c- The author is criticizing people’s new obsession: selfies that they post on social networks and the number of likes and tags they get for them! Like Narcissus looking at himself in the river, people have become obsessed with their own image on social media.
